I forgot how much I love the zoo. My sisters, Kylie, Peter and I stopped by the Santa Barbara Zoo on our way to Shell Beach. Kylie was the happiest child in the world at the zoo. We made all the animal noises and got feed the giraffes! Sometimes its fun to just act like a child and enjoy the little things in life.

First attempt at making macaroons. They turned out alright, but they weren't the best.. I didn't burn anything.. but I did make the butter EXPLODE in the microwave.. I was trying to get it to melt only a little and I left it in for too long.. forgot about it while I was whisking egg whites like a crazy person. Woops. Sorry mom.

For my last night in New York I moved all my stuff from the hotel to my friends apartment. I wasn't planning on taking my outfit post just outside of his building, but it was too cold to go anywhere else. I ended up throwing another jacket on before going out again.

That night, Adam and I went to the Moncler show. We had no idea what it was going to be like. It turned out to be an amazing ice skating show with over 200 people on the ice. I'm so glad we went even though the temperature made us not want to leave the cafe we stopped at just before. But luckily they gave out free hot chocolate and cider at the show. haha

Quick change after the Herve Leger show to stay warm! Went to a really beautiful dinner hosted by Max Azria and Elle Magazine. Had sushi and mini burgers. At the end of the night it started snowing! Then I caught up with a good friend of mine and went to a party at the Tribeca Grand hotel and enjoyed the early hours of the next day with Shea, Andy, and Chiara.

These were from Saturday! I went to lunch with the Threadsence girls and then took a cab over to Lincoln Center for the Herve Leger show! This outfit is what I wore to the show!

Later that day (after a quick clothing change) Adam and I went to a book release party for Marc Jacobs and met the team! Then we stopped by Grey Dog cafe and had some hot chocolate, then walked over to the BCBG and Elle Magazine dinner! More photos of the night to come!

I had the privilege of having sneak peek of the Herve Leger and BCBG collections before they hit the runway! I went to the showroom and walked around, saw all the last minute preparations, and watched the leather harnesses being made and cut and the last hems being sewn on the dresses! Before each show I got to go backstage and meet the designers and take photos of the organized chaos that happens just before the show! I was seated right in the front row for both shows. It was really an honor. Enjoy the photos!

Went to the BCBG show yesterday morning. My first real runway show I've ever been to! It was really exciting and I got front row seats! After the show I met up with Adam G for some lunch and exploring. We went to Soho and shopped and got lost on the subway! At night I went to dinner with the Lookbook.nu team and H&M!! So amazing to meet the creatives at H&M. I have photos of the dinner coming soon! Then after dinner, Olivia Lopez and I went to a party for VICE and died when we found out that WU TANG WAS PERFORMING. I couldn't believe it. Spent the night dancing and hanging out with Elvis. It was a great night. Successful first day, on to the next day!

Check out this video for Merino Wool! Merino is the "no finer feeling" wool. I was pleasantly surprised with how soft it appears because when I think of wool, I think of itchy grandma sweaters. Reading up on the benefits of wool, I learned that it is natural, biodegradable, and renewable. It's way better for the environment than the man made fabrics that we all wear. Ever since I was 3 I've been riding horses. I've been wanting to do a photo shoot with horses for a long long time and finally the opportunity came about! This little pony was a trooper. The water was freezing and I got some strange looks from other riders, but it was definitely worth it. I'll always hold these memories and photos dear to my heart. A couple nights ago, I got invited to attend a blogger dinner hosted by Coach. I didn't think there could be so much fashion in one place. I got to rub elbows with some of the biggest LA/NY bloggers and enjoy a fantastic meal compliments of Coach. The day after, Peter and I met up with Olivia L and had lunch at the Gypsy Den and shopped around. Found an amazing fringed suede jacket at the buffalo exchange nearby. And thats basically it! I love this blazer chicwish sent to me! Its the perfect color for fall. Remember these wedges? I made them over a year ago from some old platform boots my mom found at a garage sale haha they're falling apart. But thats okay.

I don't think I've worn a skort since I was in first grade. I bought this skirt from a thrift store for like 2 dollars and then found out later that there were shorts in the back haha but I kinda like them better that way! My sister and I had fun with this shoot. It was a quick 15 minute photoshoot, but my sister did a really good job! I'm happy with the outcome. I hope you all like the photos.

Some news for you all...

I'll be working on the American Music Award's this November as a production assistant! Its a difficult and tiring job, but its always fun to be behind the scenes. As you guys know, my dad is the music director for the show, so I usually just go and watch the show. It will be a bummer not being able to sit and watch, but maybe I can sneak in and see a couple acts while I'm working :P

Corpse Bride- Happy Halloween!

Peter and I dressed up as the Corpse Bride and Victor. It was actually an extremely last minute costume! My neighbor collects vintage dresses, and she had this beautiful slip dress! She let me borrow it. :)

I put my own white corset and skirt slip underneath. I felt like it was a tasteful kind of sexy look. I made my own flower headband (with my moms fake flowers) and attached a scarf to the back for a veil. My mom let me borrow her old 80's pumps.. and that was that!

As for the makeup, I used some really white concealer and mixed it with face lotion and put it all over my face, neck, and chest. Then I blended it all with this old Chanel body powder that my mom had. I contoured my collar bone, cheek bones, and jaw line with dark blue eyeshadow and then highlighted with a lighter blue shadow. You can't tell so much in the pictures, but I looked bruised and boney. :)

For peter I used the same concealer and I just put brown eyeshadow around his eyes and blended it in. Doesn't he look so much like Victor?? Crazy. He just wore all of his own clothing.

We took Kylie trick or treating and got a ton of candy for her haha Kylie was so sweet.. she said thank you after every single person put a piece of candy in her bag.

DIY flower headband

all you need is:

1. wire + wire cutters

2. fake flowers

3. hot glue

I cut the flowers from the stems. Then I measured the wire around my head and cut it so it wrapped twice around my head. I took the loose ends of the wire which were both in the back and secured them by wrapping them around a couple times. I bent one of the wires up so that I could make a crown that is thicker in the front. I started glueing the flowers to the wire by putting the glue right at the little nub behind the flower and sticking it on the wire. Then, to seal the flowers on there, I went over the backs of the flowers again with the hot glue. Hurray! Thats it. It only took me about 15 minutes. :) Sorry if I'm horrible at giving directions.
